So,let's see the literature review below !

A. Literature Review
Podcasts broadcast the audio files and programs on the internet that can be heard by downloading them on a computer. As mentioned by Man Sze (2006) that podcasts is a learning programs in the form of audio and video on the web and usually update episodes regularly. Podcast is a term from "iPod" and "broadcast" which means broadcasting via the internet to be played on iPods. Putman & Kingsley, 2009 explained that podcasts comes from traditional audio (mp3), and transformed into digital media. Podcasts are familiar in teaching and language learning, because it helps the students to get closer into the target language.
The research on the relationship between podcasts and ELT growing rapidly. Hasan & Tan (2013) conducted a study of "Podcast Applications in Language Learning" and they found that podcasts strongly support the students for English language learning skills. Gholami & Mohammadi (2015) concluded that learners who have more contact with mobile learning through podcasting are more motivated to learn languages because they are interested in the offline and online services offered.
Patel (2015) The use of podcasts in English learning classes is more useful than using speech and chalk methods. On the other hand, Faramarzi & Bagheri (2015) they suggested that podcasts can be related to the learning syllabus by considering the content in it. In addition, podcasts increase the students' vocabulary, improve their speaking also listening skills and develop their language understanding.
Hogan, Alonzo & Adlof (2017) suggested that listening comprehension is the ability to understand what people heard in the purpose of understanding the language spoken. Listening is a complex, active and conscious action which is listeners are involved in analyzing, interpreting and constructing meanings that enable them to understand and provide responses to verbal input through their ability to distinguish sounds, prior knowledge, structures, intonations, and other linguistic or non-linguistic instructions.
An interest is a feeling which determines activities, liking or disliking object that are valued for someone and certain stimulus that leads someone’s behaviour to particular aims. An interest is a subjective attitude motivating a person to perform a certain task Berlyne (1949). By looking at the definition above, we can concluded that interest is a feeling about what you want to know or learn about something where someone has a positive attitude towards something that they really likes and enjoys. In this study, an interest refers to students' feelings and attitudes toward podcasts in listening comprehension. The main objectives of this study were :
(1) To investigate whether or not podcast effects on EFL learners listening comprehension,
(2) To identify the students’ interest towards podcast in teaching listening comprehension.

So in the literature review, the author suggested that podcasts are one of the alternative media in learning and teaching English. Based on some statements explained by several other reseachers, we can find out that podcasts have succeeded in increasing students' abilities in the listening aspect. In podcasts, students can listen to native speakers directly. This activities can train their ability to understand what native speakers has been said. In addition, they can also learn the correct pronunciation and get a lot of new vocabulary.

Very interesting, isn't it? So,that's all for me. Thank you for reading.
